Word Problem HELP!?

make the lines represent the length that they walked. Make Tom walk to point B and Paula to point C. So... 45min is 0.75 hours so... 0.75 multiplied by their speeds gives the lengths of their path (the lines). Join points C and B with a line and that line represents how far apart Tom and Paula are. You now have a triangle and can use the sine law to figure out the missing length!
