Is there a way to find the source (writer/country) if you know someone's e-mail. address? Shirley from Ohio

I had a home for sale on the internet, and it was promptly 'purchased' by someone with the e-mail address of b2kn09@yahoo.com. He used the name of Bryan Beattie and the purchaser was supposedly, Rudy Preus. Both of these gentlemen are accomplished and both have web pages. I have contacted them and they deny purchasing the property. I would like to know how to trace the e-mail address to see where it originated. I fully believe this is an attempted scam. I have the e-mails if anyone needs to see them! Thank you! Shirley from Ohio
