Mel Gibson called actress Wynona Ryder an "Oven Dodger". Thoughts?

We all know that Mel's favourite people are not even slightly Jewish but why has it taken MS Ryder 15 years to report it, another one on the hate Gibson trail? Would she have been offended if he was to pop round her house in a few years time and call her a coffin dodger because of her age? Unless the remark was made with true malice and deep hatred of her and her family she should treat it with the contempt it deserves and have chucked him out of the party.
