Is it true that in Iran, non-Muslims don't get equal rights as Muslims?

More than 1 million Christian and about half a million Jews (along with the followers of other religions) live in Iran and do their religious rituals freely. Muslims believe in both Moses and Jesus Christ as other prophets, so they are respected in Iran. They are respected also because they are Iranians (no matter what their religoins are). However, everywhere in the world, minorities have their own limitations. Tell me how American government treats Muslims. Haven't they read any of the Jesus' pieces of advice?
