Will he meet me halfway! Will someone please click on this!?!?!?!?

Right before school let out for summer this guys mom told my mom that her son really liked me. So this summer were in the same camp, i flirt like crazy but hardly get any response. He never called me i called him maybe 3 times but he was always studying for his online cl or drivers ed. This school year he asked me to homecoming and so after a few stupid comments "were not going to dinner bc ive already spent too much money" ( nobody told you to go buy an expensive suit) i was convinced he was pressured into asking me. So after he calls and tells me his mom told him to apologize, I say its ok blah blah bye. lol anyway We dance and he act like he wants the night to last forever ( what a cliche) Next week i invited him to hang with me at a football game, someone asked us if we were together and i look at him like ??? and he says no! Everybody tells me how much he likes me and oh hes crazy for you! WTF he barely talks to me. I cant go any further than this! How can you expect someone to like you when you don't even show that you like them. Oh and his mom told my mom how heartbroken he was when i didn't ask him to the sadie dance last year WTH?!?!?! he spoke to me even less back then! Right now i just really wanna get back at him for confusing my head so much right now! what should i do?
