Does he really lke me or using me? Soo frustrated Plz Plz Help!!?

I've been normal but here goes this guy for about 4 months and I'm really confused about him. I see him about 2-3 times a week and it will mostly be at his place. He works and has school so doesn't have much time. I've met his parents and we've watched a game together but not a family dinner. He doesn't really take me out too much, maybe once or twice a month to the movies and I love going out. We text and talk everyday. He tells me he likes me a lot but I hold back a lot because I don't wanna get hurt. My question is because most of the time when I see him we have is he just using me for this? Hes always trying to make me laugh and hes always picking on me in a very playful way. Should I break up with him? I also noticed we don't even have an anniversary date and when I mentioned it to him he felt kinda embarred and said that's the girls job. I like him a lot because hes so funny but I think I might be wasting my time with him.
