get a good oyster knife to open them with and a good strong hand towel. just rinse the outside of the shell under cold water...if they are opened,they should close with a light squeeze from you hand, if not they are DEAD and DO NOT EAT THEM..... also ask your fish monger for any extra information....ENJOY MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
