I like him and he likes me but he wont ask me out? plz help guys?

I really like this guy sooooo much!!! And he's told me he likes me. He's talked to my friend about me and says he's super shy but that doesn't help because i'm super shy too :( He even said he started to like me ever since the first day he saw me and thinks i'm cute and nice. But he won't ask me out. Wetalk sometimes but we mostly just give eachother smiles and say hi and stuff. He talks to other girls a lot though and not me so sometimes i feel like he doesn't like me for some reason even though he has said he does a few times. He knows i like him and i finally got the nerve to ask him to sadies and he said he really wants to go and wish he could but he can't cuz he has to go to his grandmas. i really like him and can't stop thinking about him but it isn't going anywhere and idk what to do. plz help
